Eureka Springs is on too good of a positive and upward path to have an inexperienced mayor that will spend at least the first 2 years in a learning curve.

I’m asking for your vote to make sure we continue to move forward – not slow down - and definitely not go backwards.

Since I've been in office - city sales tax and CAPC collections have nearly

DOUBLED.

Having served three terms as Mayor, I understand how municipal government and its complicated financial systems work.

My service on the Executive Committee of the Arkansas Municipal League is important for building relationships and opportunities throughout the state and for keeping on top of state law.

My priorities continue to be:

Solid, transparent financial management of the taxpayer dollars,
Strong administrative staff and experienced department heads,
Infrastructure improvements (water, sewer, wastewater plant, streets, sidewalks),
Economic development and diversification,
Housing - rental and ownership, CDC and Land Trust
Expanding city limits,
Securing state and federal grants,
Tourism growth,
Clean, green energy,
Workforce development,
Environment & sustainability
Increasing reserves,
Open communication,
Accountability,
Broadband - state and federal funding has been allocated for fiber/broadband in Eureka Springs and Carroll County through the Carroll County Collaboration Broadband Committee.

A pressing need will always be infrastructure and finding ways to fund those major projects. Hopefully, the 1% sales tax and water and sewer bond issues will pass this November to provide the funding we need to start the critical repairs, replacement, and expansion of services.

Housing – both rental and ownership and expanding water and sewer are critical for growth and maintaing a solid workforce. Through the Mayor's Task Force on Economic Development, the Community Development Corporation of Eureka Springs, an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit, has been estabished

We continue to aggressively seek grants and build our reserves to fund major projects and new initiatives.
